Sid De Beer was born in Johannesburg South Africa in 1950 and is the only son of the late Sam and the late Joan De Beer. He has been married to his wife Nadine for 44 years and is the father of 3 daughters Odette, Shi-Anne, and Kim, and has seven grandchildren.

Sid and his wife are retired and live in Melbourne Australia where his entire family resides.
