FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas gymnastics team is the No. 16 seed in the NCAA gymnastics championships and will compete in the Pennsylvania Regional in University Park, Pa., April 2-5.

The Razorbacks' National Qualifying Score of 197.055 earned them the final national seed, which is based on national ranking by NQS. The next 20 highest-ranked teams also make regionals as unseeded teams and are placed geographically where possible.

The Pennsylvania Regional also includes No. 1 LSU, No. 8 Michigan State and No. 9 Kentucky, as well as unseeded teams Michigan, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio State and Penn State.

Round 1 of the regional on April 2 will feature a dual meet between Maryland and West Virginia, essentially a play-in round. The winner of that meet advances to Round 2 on April 3, which includes two quad meets.

Arkansas' quad will include the winner of the play-in round, plus LSU and Michigan.

The top two teams from each quad session advance to the regional final April 5. The top two teams at that meet advance to nationals, which begin April 17 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Arkansas is seeking its second consecutive appearance at nationals after finishing second in the Fayetteville Regional final last season. The Razorbacks finished seventh at the national meet.
