Dick Cheney on ‘Meet the Press’; John McCain on ‘Face the Nation’

UPDATED: Former Vice President Dick Cheney will be a guest this weekend on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Cheney will be in the studio with Chuck Todd for an exclusive interview, NBC News said. “Meet the Press” airs at 9 a.m. Sunday on WESH-Channel 2.

“Cheney will face questions about the CIA’s interrogation techniques and their effectiveness as well as what the Bush White House knew about the details of the program at the time,” NBC News said. “The wide-ranging conversation will also address the state of the Middle East, immigration reform and the race for 2016.”

Another “Meet the Press” guest will be Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore. The panel will be David Axelrod, director of the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics; Dan Senor, founder of the Foreign Policy Initiative; Helene Cooper of The New York Times; and Andrea Mitchell of NBC.

Also on the Sunday morning guest list:

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., and Karl Rove will be guests on “Fox News Sunday” at 10 a.m. on WOFL-Channel 35. Other guests will be Jose Rodriguez, former director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service, and Josh Holmes, former chief of staff for Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. The panel will be Rove, George Will, Julie Pace of The Associated Press and Charles Lane of The Washington Post.

Gov. Deval Patrick, D-Mass., and former President George W. Bush talk to CNN’s “State of the Union” at 9 a.m. and noon. Other guests are Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.; Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y.; and Col. Steven Kleinman (USAF, ret.), who offers insights from a veteran interrogator.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., talk to CBS’ “Face the Nation” at 10:30 a.m. on WKMG-Channel 6. Other guests are Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, and Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. The panel will be Peggy Noonan of The Wall Street Journal, Mark Mazzetti of The New York Times, Charles Ellison of The Root and Michael Gerson of The Washington Post.

Former CIA Director Gen. Michael Hayden is a guest on ABC’s “This Week” at 11 a.m. on WFTV-Channel 9. Other guests are Army veteran Eric Fair, who discusses his experience as a contract interrogator in Iraq in 2004, and New York Times columnist Tom Friedman. The panel will be Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich; radio host Laura Ingraham; and CNN and SiriusXM host Michael Smerconish.

Jane Harman of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is a guest on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. She will be on a panel with Marwan al-Muasher, former deputy prime minister of Jordan, and John Yoo, former deputy assistant attorney general in the George W. Bush administration. Other guests will be Naftali Bennett, minister of the economy for Israel; Moazzam Begg, former Guantanamo prisoner; and Diane von Furstenberg, author of “The Woman I Wanted to Be.”

Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., is a guest on “Sunday Morning Futures” at 10 a.m. on Fox News Channel. Other guests are Gen. Anthony Zinni, former CentCom commander, and Robert Kapito, co-founder and president of BlackRock investment management firm. The panel will be Republican strategist Ed Rollins, journalist Judith Miller and Keith McCullough, CEO of Hedgeye Risk Management.

Former CIA spokesman Bill Harlow and Yahoo! News correspondent Michael Isikoff are guests on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” at 11 a.m. Weighing in on the hacked Sony emails are CNN’s Don Lemon and Andrew Wallenstein of Variety. Discussing recent Obama interviews are BET anchor Jeff Johnson and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, who is also a Fusion network host. Other guests are University of Virginia student Alex Pinkleton and Ali Rezaian, brother of Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, who is being held by Iran.
